Corporate Promotions
20th Century Fox (Rosario, Baja California, Mexico)—Fox Studios Baja needed an invitation to the grand opening of their new attraction (Foxploration!) next door to their new studio in Rosario, Mexico, which is well known as the studio where James Cameron’s Titanic was filmed. They met pop-ups at the IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) trade show in Atlanta and decided to have us create a pop-up invitation that could also be used as a postcard in their on-site gift store.
Aquaventures Swim School (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)—This pop-up was created as a children’s party invitation and doubles as a promotional piece.
Harbour Air Seaplanes (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada)—Harbour Air Seaplanes used their first cards as premiums at a trade show, and the other cards as souvenir postcards.
Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts Visitor Center (Hilo, Hawaii, USA)—How do you tell the story of Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation? A pop-up is worth a thousand words! We developed the first card to tell the story of the nut—from the trees, to the factory, to the cans and the cookies and chocolates! The other cards followed as gift and souvenir cards.
Muttart Conservatory (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)—Featuring the beautiful gardens, this card sold as a souvenir item and is used as a promotional card.
New Orleans Paddlewheels (New Orleans, Louisiana, USA)—Imprinted with different promotional messages for special events, this card doubles as a gift souvenir card in the on-board gift shop.
The Pacific Beach Hotel (Honolulu, Hawaii, USA)—Inside the hotel, in the restaurant, is a 400,000-gallon saltwater aquarium where you can watch a diver feed a stingray!
Royal LePage Salt Spring Realty (Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada)—When Salt Spring Realty became Royal LePage, they used this pop-up as the announcement.
Scenic Airlines (North Las Vegas, Nevada, USA)—used their pop-up as an announcement promoting their newest product: white water rafting!
Paradise Cruise Ltd. (Honolulu, Hawaii, USA)—Originally developed as an invitation and announcement for Paradise Cruise’s 40th anniversary and move to Aloha Tower Marketplace, this pop-up was created with a slot for a business-card-sized insert. Now, it’s totally versatile and can be used for any promotion.
The Lazy Gourmet (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)—This promotional card announced the Lazy Gourmet’s 20th Anniversary.
Toni Hammond (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada)—Toni Hammond didn’t want the CDs she sent to DJs across the country to get shelved, so she put a pop-up insert into the jewel case. When you open the case, she literally pops out!
West Edmonton Mall (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)—What words would you use to describe a shopping mall with a roller coaster, ice skating rink, indoor waterslides, pirate ship, dolphin show, and amusement park inside it? None. But two custom designed pop-ups do the trick! These promotional cards for West Edmonton Mall are colorful and effective.
